Wood, textile, resin, latex, plexiglas, laser engraving, light, 180 x 80 cm (2024)

This installation questions the traces left by our interactions with matter, and examines its degeneration. The resin that covers the structure freezes into shape. The no-longer-flowing fluids created a crystallized puddle on the ground. A sample of this resin was removed and observed under a microscope. The image revealed, invisible to the naked eye, was enlarged, engraved on glass and projected onto the wall by the light passing through it. Through these retranscriptions, the image has deteriorated and lost its substance.
Leak was created with the help of materials engineer Loïc Pruvost, and with the support of the Association des amis de la galerie commune.
